For the first time in 100 years, and going against a long-standing legal prohibition - Posse Comitatus - an active duty military unit will be permanently deployed inside the US.

 

Cheney's in the bunker, and as soon as Wall Street melts down, the lockdown begins?

 

Seriously, the timing is pretty interesting, given that it's just a few weeks until the election. Will Bush need to deploy US troops into American cities to quell uprisings from another screwed up election?

 

Are the Bushies preparing for citizens with pitchforks to storm the Capitol when McCain-Palin are "selected" in November?

 

Or maybe troops will be needed to restore order after an economic apocalypse? Do the powers that be fear a return of Depression tent cities like Hooverville, and riots when banks begin to fail?

 

Whatever, come October 1st a US Army Unit is to be deployed for "Domestic Operations."

 

From the Army Times: "[T]he 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys.

 

Now they’re training for the same mission — with a twist — at home.

 

Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.

 

[B]ut this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.[..]"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today people are calling this a win, a big win. No Democrat campaigned in Florida, but Clinton got the most votes by a mile. Democrats turned out in droves even thought they were told their vote wouldn't count.

 

Yep, the media kept calling it an outlaw Dem primary and a meaningless beauty contest... that the delegates won't count.

 

Or will they count?

 

See, the DNC voted in '06 to give special permission to certain small states to hold early caucuses and primaries, because small states require personal campaigning rather than airport rallies...which prevents politics from becoming just a contest of who has the most money for TV ads. People get to meet the candidates face to face and look them in the eye.

 

And the early states did their job well ...they gave us a close look at the Democratic field before narrowing it down to Clinton, Obama and Edwards.

 

Under DNC rules no other state could hold a primary or caucus before Feb 5. But Florida and Michigan went ahead and scheduled their 2008 primaries in January. This riled the DNC, it not only undermined the special status of the four small states, but it also meant that Florida and Michigan were unfairly squeezing ahead of the 22 states and Super Tuesday, Feb 5.

 

So the DNC penalized both Michigan and Florida for 'going early' and stripped them of all their convention delegates.

 

But party leaders in Michigan and Florida point out that such penalties have always been lifted in the past.

 

If a squabble ensues, the dispute will go first to the Convention Credentials Committee...then if it came to a shoot-out the floor of the convention itself would have a test vote that could decide the nomination.

 

Lord, if that happens there will be blood ...and you know the losing side will squawk that they got screwed.

 

But, it ain't gonna happen. Of course the Florida and Michigan delegates will be seated. This is the Democratic Party not the Authoritarian Party...otherwise some 2 million voters would be disenfranchised. Why in the world would Dems be crazy enough to risk alienating all those voters and give those states to the Republicans?

 

People kept saying Florida doesn't matter. Believe me, after 2000, Florida matters.

 

Hillary has done her homework... Florida, and Michigan, matter very much.

 

And I can finally breathe a little easier. Rudy Giuliani will never be President! Thank you Florida!

Does Presidential Candidate and Congressman Ron Paul use Masonic "secret handshakes"?

In late May or early June (2007) I read a short article by Henry Makow in his site Save The Males (henrymakow.com) where he showed a picture of Tony Blair shaking the hand of Pope Benedict XVI which I copied (see attached picture 04.jpg).

Makow explained how that appeared to be a "secret handshake" of the type used by Freemasons or other secret societies obstensibly to show a New World Order type connection between Blair and the Vatican (however I did a Google search for the article within Makow's site to get the link and refer to it, but could not find it, it must have been removed).

Well with that fresh on my mind at the time, I saw a video of Bill Maher's 5/25/07 show (obtained from Conspiracy Central) where Ron Paul was the special guest, and noticed that as Ron Paul was introduced and came on stage, his handshakes to the two other guests appeared VERY similar to the one of the Pope and Tony Blair in Makow's article! (see attached pics, 01.jpg and 02.jpg). Ron Paul also shook Bill Maher's hand but that looked like a normal handshake (03.jpg).

At the time this struck me as odd and potentially interesting, copied all these pictures, and since I was not knowledgeable enough on "secret handshakes" or their significance wrote Makow an email to show him the pictures and ask him what he thought of this.

I reasoned since after all Makow thought enough of the handshakes topic to write a little article about it when the Pope did it, seeing Ron Paul do it too might be of interest to him.

But I received no reply at all from Makow, and as mentioned I just noticed his original article on the Pope's "secret handshake" appears to have been removed. I've noticed that Henry Makow has been generally very positive about Ron Paul.

My curiosity has not left me. Do these pictures show Ron Paul using "secret handshakes"? If so, what if anything does that mean?
